The Sabbath is the seventh day of the week. The days begin at sundown. For proof, when Yahweh created the earth as recorded in Genesis chapter 1, Yahweh would say there was evening and there was morning one day. At the end of each day the same would be said.
(The true Sabbath is Friday Sundown till Saturday Sundown. Which is by ways of Adonai’s calender, equal to Saturday to Sunday) You must observe the Sabbath correctly!
Since Adonai commanded that the Sabbath be kept forever, how did Sunday keeping
originate? It certainly did not come from Adonai or His Church.
Sunday is commonly referred to as “the Lord’s Day.” While the true Lord’s
Day of the Bible is actually the Day of the Lord—the Day of His Wrath (Joel
2:1-11; Rev. 1:10; 15:1, 7), the term, “the Lord’s Day,” has come to be synonymous
The reason is simple. Many have assumed the unscriptural tradition that
Yeshua was resurrected from the tomb on Sunday. If Sunday can be established
as the day that Yeshua was resurrected ( He actually rose on Saturday), it can be a means of artificially validating
and “authorizing” the keeping of Sunday by the churches of the world—in
place of Adonai’s true Sabbath. Then, the pagan Easter festival and celebration,
with its Sunday sunrise services, become much easier to establish.
Many pagan festivals, including Christmas (Saturnalia), Easter (the festival
of Ishtar) and worship on the day of the Sun, were observed throughout
the Roman Empire long before Yeshua. The apostate church (the “woman”)
simply adopted them into practice, and enforced them on all citizens in the
empire through the civil government. Actually, the first one to enforce
Sunday worship was not a Pope or a church, but was Constantine, the emperor.
Here is what happened next. At the Council of Laodicea, in A.D. 363, the
following decree was passed: “Followerss must not Judaize by resting on the
Sabbath, but must work on that day, resting rather on Sunday. But, if any be
found to be Judaizing, let them be declared anathema from Yeshua.”
Understand what this decree meant. When one was branded “anathema”
(accursed or heretic) by the church, he was arrested by the state, tortured and,
unless he recanted, this continued until death. This was enforced so strictly that
people were required to rest on Sunday, and work on Saturday, in order to engage
in business or hold a job. This enforcement governed their “buying and selling.”
Now briefly back to the beast and “little horn” of Daniel 7. Verse 25 sheds
important light on what happened in the Roman Empire. Daniel wrote, “And
he [the little horn] shall speak great words against the most High, and shall
wear out the saints of the most High”—now get this next point and do not misunderstand—“
and think to change TIMES and LAWS.”
This is a remarkable statement about how the great false “woman” church
sought to alter Adonai’s LAW as it had to do with TIME. The single most obvious
way has been to change the time of YAdonai’s Sabbath to the pagan SUN’S DAY (the
day long set apart by men for worship of the sun), thus altering the fourth great
law of Adonai ! (More and more people today speak of Sunday as their “sabbath.”)
HOW PLAIN has been the work of this church in its efforts to “wear out
the saints”!—and to speak against “the most High”!
Is it any wonder that Adoani will pour out His wrath without mercy on any
who would dare to do these things to His Word and to His people?
Adonai has never authorized His Church or mankind to keep the pagan Sun’s day.
Nor did He ever command or allow His people to keep numerous other pagan festivals
and days of worship—and has always explicitly commanded against them!
When people celebrate Sunday as “Yeshua’s Day,” they unwittingly celebrate
the very wrath that Adonai will pour out on them for keeping this pagan
custom in place of His Sabbath! Astonishing, but true.
Exodus 20:8-11 showed that Sabbath-keeping is the Fourth Commandment!
The Sabbath has always been the seventh day of the week, and Adonai never authorized
Sunday, the first day of the week. Adonai hallowed the Sabbath at creation.
Yeshua kept it (Luke 4:16). So did Paul (Acts 13:42, 44; 17:2; 18:4). And so did
the New Testament Church.
Adonai has always said, “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy” (Ex.
20:8). He has never said, “Remember Sunday to keep it holy—and just call it
The Sabbath is a day of rest, a day of worship, a day of fellowship, a day of rejoicing, and a day of meditation. So with that being said we must study Yeshua ’s word of that day and pray to Yeshua more than any other day of the week!
Yahweh forbids His people from doing any work (including any shopping or buying) and to remember that it was He who blessed and sanctified this day for mankind. “Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to Yahweh. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your manservant or maidservant, nor your animals, nor the alien within your gates. For in six days Yahweh made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore Yahweh blessed the Sabbath day and set it apart” (Exodus20:8-11).
The Roman Catholic church stated long ago the reason they sought to change the Sabbath was to stop emulating the Jews.
Since March 7, 321AD the Roman Catholic’s have been attempting to convince followers all over the world that the 7th day Sabbath was “made for Jew” and not for MAN as Yeshua declared in Mark 2:27. Truth is, just after Pope Constantine declared all Followers must keep Sunday holy instead of the Follower Sabbath of Saturday, he noticed that some would not go along with his demands. So 11 years later another law was passed by that same pope that made the true 7th day Sabbath ILLEGAL and punishable by DEATH! All of the early martyrs were in fact Sabbath keepers.
Also note that
in more that 100 languages the name for the seventh day of the week, which we call ‘Saturday’ in many languages they call it SABBATH, as in Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, polish, Russian etc
And Adonai’s true Sabbath day falls on the Hebrew calendar and not the Gregorian calendar.
We all must observe the Sabbath on Friday sundown till Saturday sundown. We must not work on these days during the Sabbath as it is a day of rest and a day for us to partake in the taking of communion.
